Review: The 100 (Hundred #1) by Kass Morgan

The 100 - Kass Margan

I received a free copy from the publisher, via netgalley, in return for an honest review.

The 100 is a futuristic sci-fi novel that centres around a group of 100 teenagers, who are sent from giant spaceships hovering above planet Earth, to Earth to see if the planet is habitable.

Each chapter is told from the perspective of one of four main characters; Clarke, Glass, Wells and Bellamy. Each character's reasons for being one of the hundred is told through the use of flashbacks. The writing style is clear and the plot intriguing. It held my interest throughout and I was eager to discover the next part of the story. Although this reads as a young adult book, I'm sure it will appeal to the wider audience. The fact that a TV series has recently been made should ensure the appeal of this great book.

A sequel, Day 21, has recently been published; I'm looking forward to catching up with the next part of the story!
