Talia is Talented - she has special abilities as a mind manipulater -  and is honing her skills as a Pledge, eager to graduate as a Hunter. As she trains with Henri and Erik, the two Hunters with whom she is serving her Pledge period, she moves ever closer to the solo mission that will ensure her graduation.

I really enjoyed Talented; it is well written, with endearing characters and an intriguing premise. Talia is a strong character, who is also very human. Her vulnerabilities make her likeable, her interactions with the other team members do not always go well, but she absolutely has to succeed. I found this book so easy to read, the pages (and time!) flew by as I found it hard to put down. I'm really looking forward to picking up the story with the second book in this series.
